Final Edits

I got the final edits to do for Something More Tuesday. I started working on them today. I'm pretty happy about that. :) I'm going to hopefully have them finished by Monday. I can't wait to get Something More out. Thanks so much for reading :).

I received the cover for Something More. I'm really excited about it! I'm already up on upcoming releases on the new concepts publishing page as well. Pretty soon I'll have two published books. I'm really grateful =]. I'll insert the cover photo now for you to ooh and aah over lol.

Excert Of A Current Project

An exert of something I'm currently working on right now. It's called Torn Heart. Let me know what you think.
I got up, went and paid for three shots of fireball, and downed mine. Then I carried the other two back to the table. As I approached I could see that Malek and Seb were talking. I went straight up to the table anyway. "I just think it's disrespectful," Seb was saying. "I don't. It's fair game," Malek said crossing his arms over his shoulders. "How do you get that?" Seb demanded. He looked up, saw me, and hung his head.

"What's going on?" I asked. "Nothing baby," Seb responded. I gave Malek a funny look. He shrugged. "If you guys were talking about me I deserve to know," I said. "We weren't. Don't worry about it," Seb said. "No Kat's right. We were talking about you. Seb doesn't think I should have asked you to dance. He doesn't own you. I'm just being friendly. I think I can. What do you think?" Malek asked.

I looked from one to the other. "Seb I said no. You didn't have to pursue it any further! I can take care of myself!" I said angrily. "Oh get a grip," Seb said. "No...," I said. "Yes," he replied. "Fine I'm leaving. See ya later," I said. "No Kat wait. You're right. I'm sorry," he said. I took a deep breath. "I'll calm down," I promised. We smiled at each other, but it was a tight lipped smile. I was still kind of mad, but there was really no use in ruining the night.

Excert

Exert from Learn To Let Go.

The waves lapped against the shore as we held each other. "Hey, Dan," I said.

"Hey, Dawn. Listen, I've been thinking," he said, pulling away from me.

"About what?" I asked.

"Us. You live in Alabama. I live in California. I don't think it's ever going to work when we go back home," he offered, looking down.

"What do you mean? It has to. We promised!" I protested.

"I know. I've been struggling with this all month. I just can't do it," Dan said.

"I know you can. Please," I whimpered to which Dan shook his head. "Please. Please. Please. Don't leave me! Let's at least try!" I begged.

Dan stared out at the ocean for a long minute before turning back to me. "Okay. We can try," he said, smiling and holding out his hand.

"Thank you!" I said, jumping into his arms and he laughed as he hugged me. "I know we can make this work long distance. “

Working.

I'm working on a longer story and a short story in the Something More series right now. Neither are going fabolously at the moment, but they're going. I can't wait to submit another story. I turned in the artwork questionaire for Something More recently. I have a follow up story that I need a name for that I'm going to work on submitting next.
